The American Lung Association Wisconsin Clean Air Choice Program will celebrate the use of alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles during its National Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Day Odyssey events on October 25, 2012, at two locations in the Milwaukee metropolitan area.
FREE educational events: The AFV Tour starts at First and Florida Streets in Milwaukee, runs from 8 a.m. until noon. Families are also encouraged to bring their children over to Oconomowoc Utilities (808 S. Worthington Street, Oconomowoc WI 53066) from 4 – 6pm to view a large variety of alternative vehicles.
The Milwaukee area AFV Tour promises a ride on a propane-powered bus and visits to sites offering propane, E85, Bio-diesel, electric charging and compressed natural gas (CNG) alternatives. Tour stops include the General Mitchell International Airport Amtrak Station Building, the Airport Mobil multi-fuel public gas station, AmeriGas, Fusion Renewables and Discovery World.

The Oconomowoc Area AFV Show is FREE and open to the public. It will feature neighborhood electric vehicles; a home-built, electric motorcycle; the all-electric Nissan Leaf; the plug-in, hybrid-electric Prius; E85 fueled 2011 Chevy Impala; CNG fueled 2009 Honda Civic GX and a hybrid-electric Utility Bucket truck. Also present will be representatives from local environmental and business organizations, alternative fuel vehicle experts, an electric vehicle designer and companies that have incorporated alternative fuel vehicles into their fleets.
