Kapco’s Kids2Kids Christmas Toy Drive in partnership with Newsradio 620 WTMJ is one of the largest toy drives held anywhere in Wisconsin. Now thanks to the generosity of 32 Culver’s franchise owners in southeastern Wisconsin, Kids2Kids Christmas is certain to have a record breaking year.
All day Tuesday, November 22, diners throughout southeastern Wisconsin are encouraged to visit any participating Culver’s restaurant as 10 percent of their net purchase price will be contributed to the Hometown Heroes 501(c)3 non-profit organization in support of their Kids2Kids Christmas endeavor.
Prior “Ten Percent Days” have raised up to $40,000 for various charities.
Culver’s Restaurants will also hold a toy drive at each participating restaurant through December 15. To provide further support to Kids2Kids Christmas, from November 21 - December 15, each of these 32 participating Culver’s restaurants will hold a toy drive. Patrons are encouraged to bring in a new, unwrapped toy that will be contributed to a child in need in southeastern Wisconsin.
Kids2Kids Christmas is unique as this endeavor was specifically created to teach children the value of giving. Parents are encouraged to take their children shopping to select and purchase toys for children who are less fortunate in our community. The estimated 13,000 toys are contributed to the Salvation Army and other non-profit organizations. All of the toys are ultimately distributed free of charge to thousands of children in southeastern Wisconsin. Kids2Kids Christmas not only makes an impact on the children who receive the toys, but helps instill the values of caring and giving in the children who donate the toys.
Mr. Craig Culver, CEO and Co-Founder of Culver’s Restaurants, remarked, “Doing the right thing is part of the fabric at Culver’s and supporting causes such as the worthy Kids2Kids Christmas Toy Drive is part of that. Our franchise partners are exceptionally generous and I salute them for their participation.” Mr. Jim Kacmarcik, the President of Kapco Metal Stamping and lead sponsor of the Kids2Kids Christmas Toy Drive, stated, “Never in the history of Kids2Kids Christmas has a community partner made such a generous commitment to our charity and this noble endeavor. Thanks to our friends at Culver’s, thousands of additional children in need in our community will have a much happier Christmas season. We encourage people from throughout southeastern Wisconsin to support Kids2Kids Christmas by simply dining out at any participating Culver’s restaurant on November 22nd. By doing so, they too will be helping children in need.”
