We are NAEYC Accredited and have been quality education for over 55 Years. Our Program Highlights Rainbow Preschool provides a child-oriented, nurturing, and comfortable setting. We offer a flexible curriculum designed to encourage active learning and independence. We encourage free, spontaneous, self-directed play and social interaction. We offer varied teacher-facilitated activities that address each child’s needs. The children are provided opportunities for the development of the whole child. We emphasize a positive self-image and a love of learning. Our children participate in fun activities and field trips with focus on community service and discovery. Our Teachers Our two teachers are a team of dedicated professionals who work together to design a curriculum that meets the developing needs of the children. Our teachers are both educated and experienced in Early Childhood Education. Our Classrooms We have two large, connected classrooms. Each room provides a variety of learning centers. We have areas for large and small motor development. The children move freely between rooms during free choice activities. Our Program Options We offer 2, 3 and 5-day programs for children 2 years 9 months through 5 years old. We meet from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in the lower level of North Shore Congregational Church. Rainbow Preschool is a private, non-profit school. Our Parents Although we are not a cooperative school, we welcome your participation at every level and strongly encourage all parents to support our school in some capacity. Parents may choose to: · Serve on the Board of Directors · Volunteer in the classroom · Provide snacks · Chaperone field trips · Help with our fundraising and social events
