Thrift Store/Resale Shop for Maternity Clothes?

This is our last baby (due this summer) and my other children were born during the winter so I'm trying to find some economical SUMMER maternity clothes. Can you recommend a thrift store/resale shop in the Mequon, Cedarburg, Germantown, etc vicinity? (I've looked at the Falls Goodwill, craigs list and a little bit on ebay Need both work/casual clothes. (mostly tops)

Would appreciate any suggestions!

  1. I have had horrible luck finding used maternity that isn't from 1987.
The Just Between Friends sale is next week at State Fair Park and they've said they will have maternity.
I have been having the best luck at Old Navy and mall stores buying non-maternity cheapy summer shirts that work for maternity. I found a couple long flowing ones that will work well. I'll just put a tank top underneath.

  2. Did you try the shop right in downtown Menomonee Falls across from the flower shop? Also try Blessed Again on 76th and Hampton in Milwaukee -- just generally my favorite thrift store and I saw 3 pairs of really nice Gap maternity jeans last time I was there...just not my size! I would give that a shot. Also try ebay.

  3. I found Old Navy to have reasonably cheap shirts if you can't find anything. Another place to look would be Once Upon a Child or any of the second hand baby stores. Good Luck. :)

  5. There is one in bay view on KK called heavenly kidzz. It's a children's resale shop, but it has a huge maternity section in the back. They will also purchase used items when your maternity clothes no longer fit

here is a link to their website : http://heavenlykidzz.com

  6. heavenly kidzz is great, for both maternity and kids stuff. It used to be called half priced kids stuff, but is now under new ownership. If you have never been there or havent been there in a while I would check it out. They have a great selection of stuff. The used maternity section is great. Don't worry no 80's clothes ;-)

  7. The Goodwill in West Bend had a whole section of maternity. I didn't look too closely, but the styles were current. I know I just donated a TON of maternity clothes (plus size and I've lost weight) and they are only a year or two old.

  8. Interesting that I found this post. We happen to be launching a new website dedicated to selling gently used and new maternity clothes. We believe that there are many others that are needing affordable maternity clothes. After recently having four kids ourselves, we understand the great need for this.

Please join us for our Website launch in March 2012 www.DressfortheNine.com. We are a home grown startup from Wisconsin!
