Inexpensive party room rental

Hi, I am searching for a place to have my 1 year olds birthday party. We can not afford to have it at one of the great party places. I would like to find a room for about 50 people and be able to bring in our own food/drinks. It would also only be for a couple of hours. Thanks for any suggestions:)

  1. Where are you located?

A lot of park districts have rooms/houses available to rent. Do you want a kitchen available? That will up the price, but make things a LOT easier in terms of food prep and storage.

In West Bend, the park district has some gorgeous park "houses" available to rent. And, the Washington County Fair Park is available to rent a room for very modest prices (they do have more restrictive food prep though).

Or, check out a local hotel. Some may let you rent the pool area. If you have older kids they would likely have a blast. I realize it might not be "prime" for a one-year-old's party though (too many dangers)

  2. I agree with mamax2. Looking for rooms or houses available to rent is a great idea.

For more ideas, I'd suggest looking at Metroparents "Birthday Bash 2010-2011" special edition. (http://jsmm.p2ionline.com/specialsections/sitebase/index.aspx?adgroupid=133435&view=double&area=journalsentinel) It's a local guide to birthday parties that helps you through the process step-by-step.

And happy (future) birthday to your little one!

  3. We're doing that exact thing at Shorecrest Tavern in Shorewood. They won't rent the entire place out, but it's VERY family friendly, and...if you "take over" an area, you pretty much have the area to yourself. You can't bring in your own food/drinks, but you can bring in a cake.

  8. Well, your rental rooms are really seems to be good option for organizing party. I also found atlanta event space for company party as offering great services at very low rates. They commit a tension free party with there best services.

  9. We did a party at KIDS IN MOTION in New Berlin. We were able to rent a party room for $50 and then bring in all our own food. But we decided to order pizzas from a local pizzeria.
