looking for a dentist who accepts state insurance

Someone else posted this a while back but it was in January and only one dentist is on there and I feel like I remember hearing that that dentist stopped accepting new patients on state? I thought I would see if anyone knew any other dentists who accept state insurance. I went to one in Brown Deer and it was HORRIBLE and I'd prefer to never go back there, let alone take my son there. I know it's slim pickings but I'm hoping there's something better than that out there. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I'm in Grafton but I'm more than willing to travel for a good dentist! Thank you in advance!

  1. I go to Bayview Dental. They accept state insurance. The number is 414-482-2090. The address is 3380 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53207. They are really nice there and they are accpeting new patients right now. I just went as well as my daughter has her 1st appointment with them next week. Hope this helps. I like them and everyone seemed really nice.

  2. I called bayview dental and they only accept straight t-19 none of the hmo's. It's so dang hard to find someone! I liked Downtown Dental Group for my kids. It's really hard to get an appt. but it's clean and decent. Still haven't found anyone for me. I just want it to not look scary and not trying to be rude but have the dentist be someone I can understand. A few places I've been their accent is so thick I can't understand them.

Anyone else out there for us in Milwaukee County. Waukesha county has the Waukesha Community Clinic which I've heard is nice.

  3. I know this thread is old but Port Dental in Port Washington accepts t-19 with HMOs. We have been using them for years with and without state insurance. They do great with our 3 kids.

  4. I called both of these and neither are accepting new patients. I've called so many that were in my provider book and I don't even get an answer. This is so difficult. I'm thinking of just going somewhere and paying out of pocket because I need to be see. :(

  5. I know this is an old ad, but I had the same problem. I called Marion Family Dental on 76th and Capitol and they take T19. I had to call 10 different places before I found them. Though I was save everyone else a lot of time.

  6. Ive taken my kids to waukesha co community dental clinic for quite a few years. They really are wonderful. Especially given its a place strctly for low income families and those with state insurance. I highly recomend taking your kids there. Its very clean and and the employees are great. You dont feel like youre at a butcher shop like most other clinics those of us have to go to because we cant afford to take our kids to just any dentist. I promise you will not be disappointed!!! :)
