Oooh, good question! I'm new in town and have been craving it. We're in the 'burbs, where I heard "Quilted Bear" might be a good spot (Germantown).
I like Cliffords on Forest Home (near hwy 100). They have a regular dining room (sort of supper club-y) but also a large hall downstairs where they serve family style, very traditional fish fry.
The Polish Center in Franklin. They only have fish fry from Ash Wednesday until Easter. It's not all you can eat, but it's pretty filling. Plus, I LOVE the periogis you get with your fish! Yummy!
Bennos on 74th & Greenfield...even though it's a bar & grill it is kid friendly....will be much better when it's smoke-free in July!!!
I love Bennos but with the smoke it's a little rough! Yes, July!!!

Love Cliffords! The large hall downstairs is great for kids because it is big and loud! Also great fish!
Lakefront Brewery is a lot of fun. Doing the tour wouldn't be very kid friendly, but the dinner usually has a lot of kids there. They have a polka band, so that's fun. Also, they seat you with other people if your party isn't big enough to fill a table of 8. The food is good, and of course, the beer is awesome.
Italian Community Center, $10.95 for fried or baked cod and fried perch, all you can eat. Plus they have seafood chowder, french fries, parsley potatoes, potato pancakes, salad and dessert.
I also vote for Lakefront Brewery! It's loud so be prepared but the polka band is super kid-friendly and the food was fairly good. The time we went the dance floor was filled with little tiny dancers who were having a fantastic time.
My husband and I went to The Gingerbread House in New Berlin/Muskego, located on College and Moreland, last Friday for their fish fry, and it was wonderful! It's a neat old farm house that has been renovated into a restaurant, and the atmosphere was very intimate and warm. They have a tiny bar room upstairs that served me the biggest glass of wine I have ever had in a restaraunt ::) My husband is kind of picky about new things, and even he loved it!

I've driven past that place a bunch of times and always wanted to go in. Thanks! It's good to know that it's a nice place before spedning the money.
