Lake Lawn returns to their tradition of winter fun by bringing back Winterfest January 18 – 20. Featuring a dynamic line-up of events for the whole family, festivities include everything from horse-drawn sleigh or hay rides to sledding hills, ice-skating and a slew of other outdoor activities. Circus-themed snow sculptures will bring the grounds to life as Lake Lawn remains true to its roots as the first circus community in the state of Wisconsin. In addition, sledding hills and snow forts will be found throughout the property, as well as bonfires and s’mores. Room rates start at just $99, but Winterfest is open to both guests of Lake Lawn and the community. Fresh air and rosy cheeks Cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails will be open all weekend with a special snowshoe obstacle course and cross-county ski competition on Saturday from 1 - 4 pm. For those looking to test their bowling and golf skills under new conditions, turkey bowling and snow golf will also be available on Saturday. Between 11 am and 4 pm, Gift of Wings will demonstrate their giant kite skills highlighting kites over 100 feet in length. On top of that, MAXX Motorsports and Alpine Valley Ski Hill will have booths onsite to share information about snowmobiles and downhill skiing in the area. For the sportsman, Fish Lips Outdoors will be in attendance to share their knowledge on winter fishing, as well as their ice-fishing tournament in February. Inside entertainment The Frontier Restaurant and Lookout Bar and Eatery will be in full swing offering comforting classics and a seasonal menu that is sure to warm guests from the inside out. In addition, Calladora Spa will be running a special on their Body Exfoliation Treatment with a 25-minute service beginning at $25 and a 50-minute service at just $50.
