Description:
The Oshkosh-based band, Copper Box, is definitely more than a polka band. According to the Shepherd Express in April 2011, they play “accordion-fueled roots rock…incorporating zydeco, cumbia and other styles associated with the cheery, reedy wheeze of button boxes.” Copper Box has been honored with a WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) award for Americana/ Roots Band of the Year in both 2010 and 2012. After releasing their latest CD, “People Change” in July 2011, the band celebrated 10 years of making music in January 2012. Occurs once: Jan 12, 2013 (7:30 PM to 10:30 PM)
