Notes:

Camp Woodbrooke is a small, non-profit, coed summer camp located on 120 wooded acres near Richland Center in southwest Wisconsin. Campers explore nature in a caring, safe, non-competitive community. Activities include swimming in the pond, hiking the hillsides, going on overnights, tending the garden, goats and chickens, learning archery, woodworking or canoeing skills, or just toasting marshmallows around a campfire. Cooperative decisions about activities and daily work crews help campers learn independence, accountability, negotiation and decision-making. Campers gain an appreciation for being part of a community that respects the unique worth of each individual.

Camp Woodbrooke maintains a low 3:1 camper-to-staff ratio because we believe it is important for youth to have close supervision, good role models, and ample opportunities to form close, caring relationships. Counselors are college age or older. Camp Woodbrooke is about developing human potential, having fun, and experiencing challenging activities in a safe, natural environment. Everyone has an opportunity to try new things, gain confidence and become more resilient. Quaker leadership promotes simplicity, respect for others and diversity. Campers and staff come from many different religious and ethnic traditions and we cherish this diversity. This is a camp where bonds form for life and horizons expand in many directions.
