I'm so happy - this year I became an Aunt for the first time.  Auntie Jennifer, that's me!

This past weekend I made the trip to see my little nephew again -- I can't stay away long because he's just too cute.  He smiles all the time and ... of course ... is the BEST baby ever!  (slightly biased)

So to celebrate the cutie little guy - I thought it only fitting to bring some wine to share with the family.

What to choose ... what to choose ...

I decided to go with Cupcake Vineyards Pinot Grigio.  Why?  Because cupcakes are cute little mini-cakes and my nephew is a cute little mini-person.  I think it fits.

(... and people come to me for educated, well thought out wine discussions ... ha!)

Cupcake Vineyards is located in Monterey County, California. That's where the cool weather allows Cupcake Vineyard to grow some great grapes for their wines.  The wines are distributed by Underdog Wine Merchants who have a great talent for finding some special wines to share.  I know ... I've tried a few of them!

OH! ... and a little bit about the Winemaker ... after being an Aviator in the Australian Royal Navy, Adam Richardson  "jumped ship" and took a second career as a winemaker. They have a picture of him on their site, you can thank me later; cute nephew, cute wine label, cute winemaker ... see how I'm pulling all this together?!

The taste is fabulous and when it's chilled right, has a pear and pineapple taste that's so refreshing.  It's a great wine for a hot summer night AND of course, a great wine to celebrate new life in the family with!

Cheers to new babies!
